Born on a Planet called VHS 1256-1257b by Earthlings (just call it VHS), Astrafera has always had a passion for Earth music and entertainment. Due to the speed at which data was transmitted to the distant wandering star, her knowledge of earth media stops at about 1996 in Earth years. Ever fascinated by Earthlings, she continues to explore weird old media and learn everything there is to know about the human data transmission hub known as the World Wide Web.Her ship crashed in central California and she resides with a couple of humans that kindly took pity on her and gave her a place to stay. There she learns all about the new human world she’s never seen before!

What Programs/Apps are you using to do this?

I am using the head from my 3d model - put together and customized by me in VROID and Blender.
She has the ARKit conversion with custom blendshapes and as a result is pretty expressive! I did the texturing on the face, hair, and eyes. The body is still a work in progress (but it's basically 1:1 with my body)To get my 3d head to show up as a filter I am using an (iPhone only) app called Virtual Face - It's got a blue background and a pink haired character on it. It works with the VRM model type.I am then capturing my phone's front facing camera through either screensharing to my computer and OBS, or directly into TikTok live.The gear I use for my DJ set is a beginner friendly deck called the Pioneer DDJ FLX4 and the program Rekordbox. No prerecorded sets, everything I'm spinning is just whatever looks good in my music collection. I started learning in Jan. 2025.

Where did you get your clothes?

My Jiraikei wardrobe is mostly Dear My Love Whip and Liz Liza plus size replicas on TaoBao. I'll be happy to give the links to anyone asking - just send me a message on TikTok and I'll get you the link as soon as I can.
